art of sandblasting is a dirty and dangerous process. Each line that is carved into the glass must be carefully done to insure a smooth flow to the carving. As you can see special safety and breathing equipment must be used as the free silica from blasting the glass away is extremely dangerous! In some larger pieces there may be thousands of lines to blast and each must be done individually.
One nice part of the process is the helmet is air conditioned and therefore not a bad way to spend a hot Florida afternoon
